30+ yrs exp in, around, and owned boats....never even heard of ^^^ trolling motor.

It has been hard for me to get the time to work on the boat lately, still have some touch ups and a few other things to install as well get it register which i was going to do on monday but the tag office canceled my appointment because of covid 19.

Got a great deal on a 05 115hp mercury optimax for now, as soon as they allow the tag office to open i will get the paperwork done and get her in the water. Pretty much worked every Monday on this one for almost two years.

I think the 115 Opti will give you the performance you're looking for - where you'll be using this boat, you don't need to be a speed freak. (Maybe you do?  )

Your project looks great I love it. I have a 1978 proline 24' flatback that I want to do the same way. I love the raised platform and everything about the work you have performed on it. Looks great. I currently running a 1997 Gulf Coast 200 classic with a Evinrude 150 but would rather run the Proline

So i was able to get an appointment at tag office, she is all legal. Took her out this weekend and had a blast, i do have a few bugs to work out but all in all i love it. We took her to about three feet of water and tried to sink her with no luck swamped her from the rear, nosed dived her in to waves 5 big guys trying to lean her as hard as we could, 5 gallon buckets of water would flow out as fast as we could pour. Im going to say she is safe for everything we will throw at her on a fishing trip, plenty of room for four to fish comfortably. It has been a long journey to get the water.

This is fully loaded, full tank of fuel 35 gallons, 50 gallon baitwell full, yeti 65 full of ice and drinks, 4 batteries, tackle and rods.

Somethings did get changed, as i sold the twin powerpoles as i just didnt want the pumps and weight and went with the single minnkota talon. Sold the bobs for atlas for same reason just didnt want all the pumps. I will have to upgrade the baitwell pump as the one i have is just to small turn over rate is slow. I will take it in for carb cleaning and adjustment. Need to dial in a prop. Still need to install gps/fishfinder, nema network, spot lights and cushions for tower and yeti.
