Auxiliary fuel tank??
« on: April 03, 2018, 12:32:51 AM »
2003 215 Explorer

Purchased about a year ago. While changing the fuel/water separator, I noticed that the hoses were labeled 'Main' and 'Auxiliary'. The 'Main' on the left had the label fall off while getting to the filter. Question is, is there an auxiliary fuel tank. Didn't explore further where that hose went as I was dealing with spilled fuel and what not. Then I returned the boat back to the storage yard before investigating further. Was told by previous owner that it has a 100gal tank but he didn't mention anything about a separate tank.

Welcome aboard!!
Maybe they are the outbound hoses and the Aux is for a kicker motor?

You may be on to something. There is a kicker bracket and fuel lines for it. I'll double check when I pick it up this weekend.
