If I cut the cords is there any reason I cant cut out the fuse since they are being run through the fuse block?

First, the wiring looks very good. :thumright:

As for cutting the fuse...when you state "run through the fuse block" do you mean wired to a dedicated fuse or attached to the positive wiring block shown in your pics? Remember, the fuse's function is to protect the wire leading to the device. That's why it should be placed as close to the power source as possible (and why it is on the end of the factory wire). If you are planning to connect to the positive buss then you may wish to leave the fuse since the supply wire is a higher gauge and failure would then occur on the lower gauge wire of the device which might result in a fire condition. :ScrChin:

I’m wiring the GPS through the fuse block.  So if I cut the inline off and then use a 3 amp fuse in the block, which is the same as the inline, then the circuit is still protected right?

You are correct.

Perfect!  Off they come then.

I read some reviews about these self adhesive zip tie mounts.  Most the of complaints were that the adhesive would fail after a couple months.  I bought some and pulled the adhesive pads off.  I used some 2 part epoxy on the back and stuck them to the console.The first couple I put to much epoxy on and it oozed through the zip tie holes.  I used a Qtip on the others and it worked much better.  I tried 10 so far and once they cure if they are solid I will go crazy with them and put them everywhere.







I also managed to get the steering and trim tab switch mounted.  Hopefully get a little more wiring done later tonight.



The helm is taller than I thought it would be. It looks a little weird but actually it is perfectly at my height.  I bought it on ebay from a private seller so Im stuck with it I guess.

So far so good. 4 hourish in and I took the tape off.  Tried to twist them off and couldn’t budge them.  I probably could’ve used a quicker set epoxy but this is what I had. I’m going to the store to get more of them tomorrow.  I’m going to mount them EVERYWHERE.  Should make the wiring a bit easier.

Mommy is out of town for 4 days but I stayed up late and made some stuff happen.  Mounted the helm porta bracket switch and pretty much finished the console wiring.  Just needs some batteries and wire run in the rigging tubes once I get the boat home.

Trailer comes home tomorrow but I probably wont have time to get the boat until monday  :(

Picked up the trailer the other day.  Owens and Sons does quality work.



Picked up the boat from the yard and brought it home.





This morning I got the trim tabs and the garmin transducer mounted.







The initial plan was to take the trim tab wires through the mount, but I have and open transom inside the boat and I didnt want a ton of wires running on the inside wall. 



So I will take them up the back of the transom like I did the transducer cable and in under the aft lip.

You can't see it in the pictures but the equipment boxes dont go all the way to the top so there is room to route the cables under the lip and through the top of the box and into the rigging tubes.  I guess it comes down to whether or not I want the outside of the transom to look clean or the inside.  I would rather the inside I think.  I get some cable clams for the tab wires on the outside of the transom and route them through.


I do have one question.  The transom wasnt replaced.  It was just patched on the outside and painted over.  They left these 3/4" holes on the inside and I dont think I will be using these holes again.  What is the proper way to fill them?

That would be ideal and I love those builds however this is what Im stuck with for now.

Is this a bilge pump mounting pad by any chance?  If not where is the proper location for these pumps?
 



Also I was planning 2 bilge pumps but there is only 1 discharge line(I know there is 2 in the picture but one of them is just a pass through for wires).  I understand It wouldnt be enough tube to run both at the same time, but is there a problem with putting a T in the line so I atleast have a backup pump?
