I wasn’t able to find the right access door at marine surplus. Any idea on where to find a good one?

The space is 24x24 so probably somewhere in the 20x20 - 22x22 range.

Boat Outfitters can custom build doors out of Starboard or Acrylic in a range of colors.  They do good work, not cheap, but definitely good.

On this picture, is the hatch cover hinged?  Is this the underside of the hatch showing? I am not sure how it seals....have you tried running water on the deck with the hatch closed to see if water gets in the bilge?

Yes that’s the underside of the hatch so I see what your saying.

The boat is still at the boat yard awaiting trailer(hopefully this week) so I haven’t poured any water on it. Can I buy a seal for it?

getting ready to start the console wiring tomorrow.  I need to epoxy these pvc window trim boards to the console.  How much epoxy do I need? Do I need to cover the entire back?

Someone told me to just use pvc plumbing glue.  Can I do that?

You can buy rubber seal for the hatch.  Do you know who did the rebuild? If so, ask them what their plan was for sealing the hatch.
As for the PVC trim - can you post pics of what you're talking about?

Are you glueing PVC pads inside the console to mount terminal blocks and run wires?  Are you going to use pre-mixed epoxy glue? Or are you useing epoxy resin?  If the latter, you’ll need silica (cabosil) to thicken the epoxy to keep it from running out.  The exact quantity will vary based on the size of your pads and the texture of the inside of your console.  Pictures would answer a lot of these questions.

Correct. Bought some PVC window trim from Home Depot. Going to cut it up and glue it to the inside of the console. I’ll see if I can grab some pictures in a bit. Pieces are like 24”x2”.

Guess I could probably just use 5200.

You can buy the 2 part 5 min epoxy from HD. I think I would cut some 45 degree supports (from left over trim) and glue them onto the trim first and then glue the trim to where you want. Mix enough epoxy to get good edge coverage, slop it on and place where you want it. Hold it for 5 mins and you're done.

I ended up using some bondo fiberglass which I realize now was probably the wrong Bondo glass but it seems to have worked.  I slathered it on thick with the hardner and held it in place with some landscaping pavers for 10-15 mins and its stuck good.  I cant budge it at all.

Got a bit of the wiring done today.  This is my first time doing this so be easy.  Took me several hours just to get this bit done and the switch panel wired to the terminal.

I used bigger wire than needed just because I had purchased remnants at Marine Surplus so I had extra.  No harm in going bigger, so why not.  Hopefully get the fuse panel to the GPS, Radio and Trim switch tomorrow.

The GPS and radio both have these built in fuses...

and the cords are incredibly long.  If I cut the cords is there any reason I cant cut out the fuse since they are being run through the fuse block?

P.S.
Sea Star hydraulic kit came in the mail today too!
