I was was moving a little slow this morning as I eased into my 20 CCP project, and I started wondering: Prior to Aquasport did any production builder make a center console with an open bow and coffin box?  I couldn't think of any.  Of course now a standard on larger center console battlewagons like Contender, Sea Vee, Yellowfin and others, but was AS first?

As fish friendly as the open bow and coffin layout is, it's unicorn rare on smaller, but still offshore capable center consoles.  The layout is one of the things that drew me to the CCP.

I'm aware of the disputed lore that AS built the first production CC, but are there other innovations that AS deserves credit for?

Plexi windows in the hull bottom? (There were glass bottom boats but this is different - something in a mass production boat)
