Bungee tie downs for rod holders?
« on: January 09, 2017, 07:31:56 PM »
My 1985 222CCP has the remnants of bungee straps on the teak rod holders (on the sides).  I have checked out the vendor section and posts and have checked google/online and can't seem to find replacement bungees for this purpose.  Any ideas?  I'm guessing they would need to stretch 3-4 inches or so.  Without them, rods seem to bounce out in chop and while trailering.  Thanks for your help/thoughts.  Jason

You can buy loose bungee and some SS Hog rings and make your own.

The pliers to crimp the rings are inexpensive.
