What to do with a damaged 22-2?
« on: November 05, 2016, 09:51:30 AM »
Hello all! I am new to Classic Aquasport to look for some advice. I have a 1986 22-2 Osprey that was given to me by my father to use in the Jacksonville Florida area with my family and had a bad event happen this summer. We were enjoying Cumberland Island and had the boat anchored just outside the surf for several hours. Later in the day a storm came through and the tide was going out and the boat capsized. I was able to recover the boat and return it back on the trailer. The motor is obviously shot and the center console was broken up but beyond that it wasn't too bad. There is a crack in the fiberglass on the starboard side gunnel that is only in the in the top piece ( above the rub rail ). I do not have the time or skill to take this on as a project but would like to see it restored and appreciated by an Aquasport enthusiast. Can anyone recommend an outlet for it where there might be some interest to keep from just scrapping it? Thanks in advance for any input! Doug

I would be interested in seeing pictures.  I would like to restore a 222.  I have a 19'6" now.
