1978 Transom replacement

I'm looking to redo the transom on a 1978 222 anyone ever do one before? What did you do to to replace it? Or know anyone that would redo it for a reasonable price

Check out the rebuilds section of the Forum.  Transom replacement is probably one of the most common elements of a rebuild.  I'm working on a rebuild of my 20 CCP, and recently finnished the transom.  It's a similar process on your boat.
