banding (Strapping) the tank in the coffin....

 :awife:....where can I get a strapper to strap my tank in place?....I need straps and tool for install?...Ren ? Buy?...what kinds of straps?  Help!!

Unless you find a stainless strapping and clamps and a strapping tool and crimp tool... which I highly doubt...  You can just make your own straps out of 5052 Aluminum sheet metal or thin flat stock.  mount the ends to the boat hull or coffin... then bend the ends up with a hol drilled in them..  use a long bolt to tighten.  Easy peasy...  if it is a aluminum tank insulate the straps with silicone or vinyl... don't use rubber since it will react over time.

1998 Explorer w/ Etec 250


1987 170 w/ Evinrude 90
