Just the beginning, 1987 222 osprey!
« on: June 06, 2016, 09:03:57 PM »

Just picked up this 1987 222 osprey from up north! Can't wait to get her back to Florida and get started. Plan on taking it slow (rebuild) and using the boat as is for a while. She had a new fuel tank put in 3 years ago and the floor and transom are solid. Motor is a 1989 Johnson 200. So pumped to be a member and finally get my hands on this boat!

Yes picked her up from Marblehead off craigslist. Know anything about the boat? These are hard to come by in decent shape down here in Florida, unless you want to spend $30000+ on someone's rebuild. I wanted one to put my own work in but use as is for a while.

I don't personally know much about the boat but I've seen it in the harbor for years. I was born and raised in Marblehead and that's where I've been boating  my entire life.  I saw it pop up on craigslist cause I still take a peek around at Aquasports even though I already have my project.   Just for fun lol.  Congratulations on the find and I look forward to following your build!!
