Kuranntt - you were so close. When you click the link on your post it takes you to your pic. Once there look to the right and down a little and you'll see a "Linked image" line with a blue box to the right. If you click in the blue box and right-click / copy, that is the code you want to paste into your post and the picture will appear in your post.
So close.... give it a try.
