Now I know I've gone crazy, but I've come across a salvage 215 DC that will likely go cheap, probably not more than the value of the trailer. It's a 1998, with 4 stroke Yamaha power. I need another project like I need another hole in my head, but this might be worth the effort. I have been looking for a more family-friendly member of the fleet of this basic size. Not many details given, but it reportedly sank in freshwater. I consider the power scrap. Pictures look like hull is pretty good. My question is this - 1998 should have poured transom and closed cell foam in stringers, so deck would be the major structure at risk, right? Worst case scenario, one could replace deck and have a pretty solid hull. Any thoughts?
