fuel leak 2003 175 osprey
« on: February 22, 2016, 06:37:53 PM »
found a small fuel leak coming from tank sending unit. The head of a bolt was broken off. Removed unit was happy to see that there was 1/2" of bolt sticking up. got out the vice grips clamp them on and that bolt wouldn't budge. tried just about everything. Any ideas?  can you just screw in to the tank. would even consider capping tank off if possible.

A commercial penetrating oil of some description. I read somewhere that Automatic Transmission Fluid & Acetone in equal parts are as effective, if not more so, than anything else. Soak it on and leave overnight. Good luck.
