Only way to do that safely with a SUV would be, if the legs will fit in the rear, fold down the rear seats and get it in as far as possible, I would un-lash the top cover, roll it up and keep it inside the vehicle,, if the e-box is bolted in, un-bolt it and do the same, less wind resistance. I guess you could tie it on the roof rack if it has one, I would tie it very securely, front, back and both sides. Also removing the cover and e-box before putting it on the roof..Any buddies got a pickup or small trailer you could borrow..I brought mine home on a trailer( laid on its side) no cover or e-box on it. Tied down very well. It rode fine.
