Hello , do you think that putting a single 150 four strokes mercury will put a express fisherman on plane ? I don't want to go faster than 30 m-hours . On the mercury website ; they put a 150 four strokes on a 24 CC Laguna 4300 pounds and the top speed was 45 miles -hours ! Does someone have put a 150 four strokes on a 25 aquasport ? Thank's .

Too small, you will wind up regretting a 150 on that boat. I would like to read all about a 150 on a Laguna 24 hitting 45 mph. You need a 250 on that boat and pull the throttle back to cruise at 30 mph as you want.

I agree with Fitz - I have a 250 on my 230 and at 30mph I have about 25% more throttle and that is what you need to baby the engine and not run it too hard.

Hmmm. That boat is rated for 400 hp. I'm thinking maybe they had twin 150s, but it doesn't say it anywhere

The newer 4-stroke Merc 150 is a 3 liter, inline 4 cylinder engine. A 3 liter inline 4 is an inherently unbalanced engine, so you would not want to wind it very tight. Merc specs say 5800 RPM max - but it's going to be buzzin' like your cousin above 4500. I have not seen the inside of one yet, but maybe they use a balance shaft to offset the vibration. A single overhead cam setup has room in the block for a balance shaft like Chrysler/Mitsubishi did on the K-car back in the 80s.
The Laguna 210 bay boat does 44 MPH with a 150 Vrod - so I would agree with Fitz that the test results were likely twin 150s for the Laguna 24. Twin 150 outboards are the standard power setup for the Laguna 24.

Better than a 150 but still not what you really need on a 25ft boat. Twin 150s or a single 250 is what you need.
Your boat is 2900lbs by itself
