Leaning Post for 222CCP
« on: July 18, 2015, 07:50:39 PM »
Hi guys. Have just had the most awesome 4 weeks in Westport MA playing with the 222 and am now back in Sydney toughing it out with coldest weather in years. I have decided to ditch the current pedestal seats (I never sit down and they take up a ton of room) and put in a basic leaning post. Can anyone recommend a manufacturer that won't break the bank?

Cheers,

Lots of choices, but it seems you will expect to pay $500 - $900 for something you will like:  http://www.ebay.com/sch/Boat-Parts-/26443/i.html?_from=R40&_sop=15&_vxp=mtr&_mPrRngCbx=1&_udlo=500&_udhi=900&_nkw=leaning%20post&rt=nc

Or get one made...  Fishmaster used to have some nice leaning posts at good prices, but they lost their fiberglass supplier and are not currently selling leaning posts...

One of our members, Randy56100, is a custom fabricator.  He made my half tower, as well as a leaning post for me.  I haven't seen him on here lately though.  Let me know if you are interested and I'll see if I can find his number.
