Help power trim pump

I connected my battery for the first time this year and both my bilge pump and power trim both went on without switch being on was told maybe the relay is bad?  would this affect both bilge pump and trim  on 2000 osprey 175 with Johnson 90 hp

There is nothing in common with them except the power itself. Bilge pump - should be wired to the battery and also have a wire to a switch for manual control - check the float switch.
The power trim has two places of control that you can look at - the switch on the throttle and on the side of the engine.  Seems something is sticking closed.
