Cox Roller Trailer Restoration

Got the bunk boards from the original trailer temporarily mounted to the 12" bunk brackets. Just took a guess and bolted them on. I knew that was a tight fit between the boat and the fenders so I went as high as I could. I hung the front of the boat from the rafters and backed the trailer under to see how it fit. Looks like I need to raise the bow and lower the stern. I think I can mount some guide bunks to run along the tops of the fenders and it should be a snug fit. The boat is about 1-2 inches narrower that the fenders....i think,.... at this point and I may be able to drop it down between the fenders. I did slide the axles back on the frame as far as they would go. It's pretty close to the setup on the original trailer except it is higher. Any input is appreciated....my experience on this is sorely lacking.....

Don't want to sound like a spoil sport, but you might want to get 4 more brackets and have one on each side of the bunk to support it so it will not want to lean to one side or the other the brackets would sandwich the bunk and make it more secure. Just my .02..

Definitely with you on 4 more brackets gman....was thinking about doubling up the bunks and cutting the top at an angle to fit the boat as well......thanks for the link Capt Bob.....Classic Aquasport Delivers again.

 Yes, double them up, the more contact the better. Cut a matching angle to the bottom and new carpet and you will be set..
