When tablets came around it made posting pics on any site more of a challenge because you lost your mouse.
I think you have to touch and hold to get a popup?  I have to do that on my Android tablet.

I have some good news and some more questions the tank although the pics don't do it justice is in great shape but the pickup tube was broke off and the tank was filled to the top with water I thinking when the po hip tube broke they started to use portable tanks wich they were when I bought the boat then the dum sobs filled the tank with water for balist.i am having a radiator shop test and clean the tank, my question is why is the pickup in the center of the tank I'm thinking of having it moved to the back, just seemed to make more sense there if bow is up and you only have a little gas you won't run out ,let me know your thought thanks marty

It's often placed in the middle because that's half way. Yes it sounds stupid but....

Your idea of the tube in the rear is logical when running bow elevated in a rather calm sea but when underway with the bow rising and falling, the fuel travels back and forth. Most tanks contain two or more baffles to reduce that "wave action" cause by the movement with the thought that much of the time, the better part of the fuel resides in the middle.

That stated, I had both my pickups placed in the rear of the tank when I had a new one made so take what I type with a grain of salt. :think1:

Sounds like we're on the same mind thought I think I will have it moved one other thing I notice was that my coffin has holes in it 4 that the steps go though and one dead center I thought that I read on one post that a guy said he didn't have any was wondering if mine were added

We have seen coffins with drain holes. It really defeats the concept of the coffin, that is to trap fuel in the event of a fuel leak.

Personally, I would seal the holes when replacing the tank. The idea is to keep the tank area dry. The drain holes don't really allow that much water (if any at all) to enter but fuel in the bilge isn't a good idea at all.

By steps, do you mean the shape of the coffin?
