Moink Balls for Super Bowl
« on: January 31, 2015, 10:26:30 AM »
:103:  OK - we got to get our cooking game tight for the Super Bowl.  My suggestion - Moink Balls!  Moink is a combination of meat and pig, get it?  These are easy and tasty:

Get a package of pre-made meatballs, a package of your favorite bacon, some toothpicks, some of your favorite sauces, and some of your favorite beer.

Make sure the beer is cold before you start.  Open one for yourself and anybody who is helping and check the beer temperature.  Thaw the meatballs.  Cut each slice of bacon in half and wrap it around the meatball.  Secure the bacon with a toothpick.  Now you have meat/pork balls - the classic Moink Ball.

Check the beer again - it may be necessary to do several checks.  Dip or coat the moink balls with your favorite sauce or sauces.  I like to do several different flavors - BBQ, Hot, Mustard, etc.

You will probably need to crack open another beer before the next step:  Put the sauced meatballs on the grill or in a smoker and cook until the bacon is crispy.  Time of cooking on a grill is usually about 2 beers, but smoking can take longer and require more refreshment.

Serve on a plate or platter with toothpicks and maybe some extra sauce for dipping, and some cold beer on the side.  You could even put some celery sticks on the plate if you want to look like you care about being healthy.  Now you're ready for the game!!

That sounds delish!!

Is it possible to substitute other beverages for the beer?

Thanks!

Sounds good!  Plus it sounds like there is no way to underinflate these moink balls!

:old01: There will be some natural shrinkage due to atmospheric changes in the air inside the moink balls ....or whatever BS that guy gave for the air being less
