Looking for a few good boat pix
« on: January 05, 2015, 07:25:13 PM »
Hi All,
If any of you have tried the LightHat theme (probably the highest tech theme I've found) you'll notice that there is a Aquasport pic in the center.  I have to build these backgrounds and get the transparency just right so that it isn't overwhelming on the text in front of it.  This theme is best viewed on desktops otherwise it overwhelms the device - currently I'm the only one using this theme but then again not many of you have actually changed your theme, possibly because the default (Blue Shame) works best for you (it's a nice theme too).
I'd like to put  together a library of backgrounds like this so we can rotate them periodically.  If you have any action shots, or glamour shots of your boat in a static "pose", in at least 1280x1024 size and want to become a background  for the theme please email me the pic here at rickk@classicaquasport.com. If you happen to be in the pix I will deny knowing you to avoid royalty fees  :icon_sunny:

Cool, they're rolling it.  Thanks guys.  Remember I need them at least 1200 x 1024.

Rick, I tried that theme on my desktop...still overwhelmed the text.  Liked the look...but need to read the forums!  That was a 230 Cat on the first one I saw...

Initially there is a lot of transparency - I can't use the theme when on my laptop. When you hover over a section it darkens up (gets more opaque) and then as you go deeper into each level it gets more opaque.  It's a unique theme for sure.  I think we'll see more of the opacity themes around the web soon.
