Looking at an '86 200 Osprey
« on: December 28, 2014, 03:07:31 PM »
I'll post pics tomorrow, but it has 2 soft areas in the deck, fore and aft of the CC for the full width of the CC. Transom has been replaced with a "poured" material. '97 150 Yamaha just rebuilt.

Not that it makes a difference, but a Suzuki binnacle (works the same as a Yam)?  All they had laying around?  The wiring/plugs are different, so it would have to be hard wired.

And at a $4K asking price, they could have at least cleaned the old girl up!  $2500...

You can find a MUCH nicer boat for about $1000 less than that one.  Keep looking one will turn up.  It's off season right now.

Here's a few to start:

http://orlando.craigslist.org/boa/4785546618.html

This looks lie a 200 CCP hull: http://tampa.craigslist.org/pnl/boa/4728018748.html

Thanks, I wondered how I missed the 1 in Sarasota, but he spelled it as "Aqua Sport" and that wasn't included in my "Aquasport" search.  The 1 in Tampa (St Pete) is crap; look at my post on the Used Car lot boat.

Yeah you have to think of the crazy ways people misspell listings...  Aquasports, Aqua sport, Aqua-sport, Aqua-sports  etc etc.

The one at the car dealer is ten years newer than this one.. is sitting on a nice aluminum trailer, hasn't been hacked up too bad by POs and much more.. and is asking only $900 more....  Keep looking.

Not a CCP - looks like an Osprey that has been rode hard and put away dirty.  Rewire, cleanup, fix about 25 other things and you could be good to go - but take $100 off for each of the 25 things that need fixing - and around $2500 is where you need to be, IMHO.  Like others have said - off season, look around, maybe pick a cherry somewhere...
