Ideal Shaft Length for 170
« on: November 18, 2014, 10:07:15 PM »
Just recently picked up a solid 170 hull.  Without spending 2 hours searching previous topics, can someone please inform me the ideal lower unit shaft length for this boat?  Thanks. I'm looking at a Johnson 115 (20" shaft) for sale locally here in Wilmington, NC.  Thanks.

Minton, welcome aboard Classic Aquasport :salut:

20 inch is perfect.

I'm in Wilmington, and have been here a long while.

Give a call in the morn, we'll chew it over.  PM sent.

AS Scott said a 20" shaft is what you want.  That 115 will make that 170 scoot right along!
