Chicken Names
« on: October 21, 2014, 10:26:23 PM »
Next spring want to put in a chicken coop with hens only.  They say lacking a rooster, one female  becomes the Alpha Wench.

Thought it would be neat to name the chickens.

Just a matter of pronunciation.....As brother Dave Burr advised in tonight's PM :thumright:

I kinda likes both names , De Burra

But de little chicks....not sure what their preference will be.

From what I've heard, they're pretty smart, and will come to you when you call their names.

So would like to give them ethnic American names, pretty recognizable, and posted on the net as top ethnic female baby names of 2014:

Chaquita, Monique, Shawnequa, Kwaunesha,  Shatoya, Laliqe,  Laquisha, Chichrondra, Deandra (Dee-Dee)  and Polly.

I can remember Polly. May end up calling all of them Polly.

"Polly. Get yo ass over here"
