Camping
« on: October 18, 2014, 08:12:26 PM »
Hi all,
For you local members, a few of us are going to bring our boats to Ft. Desoto/Bunces Pass and hang out a few days. We're starting the campout on Oct 24th and will be hanging until Sunday. What a nice place to hang - great water current, clean water, usually a nice breeze.  We'll be on the south side of the Bunces channel.

If you are in the area and want to stop by we'd love to meet you - Look for the Explorers tied up in a barge config - hang out and have a few beers with us.

If you want to camp with us you're MORE than welcome - bring some fenders and have a great time. We for sure will.  8)  :drunken:

Sound fun, wish I had my "new" old boat already.  Looking at another this weekend.

You bet - a floating hotel and party barge.  We have BBQs on board to cook a feast so we won't go hungry
We'll probably "unbarge" to go do some fishing and then meet back up to continue the festivities.
The boats all have fresh and raw water washdowns (when they work    I just ordered a new fresh pump) so we have showers, "facilities" and plenty of room to hang out.
Good tunes, always good friends, good amenities, always good supplies, always good times - not much more to say.

A few times a year and in different locales usually.  We usually leave the families at home and the guys chill out for a couple days.

A very windy Friday and Saturday at Bunces Pass

Saturday morning sunrise.

Breakfast burritos, a great AM laxative.

Ahhh, morning relief.

Saturday night sunset. The pic really doesn't do it justice.

We could probably do a camp out sometime in the near future.  Just like old times.
