Does anyone know if this hull is considered a CCP?

What does the CCP designate anyway?

As we cull through these older threads and move (or remove) them to their final resting place, one gets a peek into what was generally known about Aquas at that time.

Note the thread title.

This is a 210 Osprey hull circa 1991/92.
The hull design is my WAC hull with the Osprey cap. An excellent riding hull, it is close to but different in design than the older CCP hull. This hull design will then be carried forward through the Genmar line of EXs and Ospreys and I'm sure owners of these models will agree they are great performing hulls.

How much we have learned over the past 9 years.

Are you saying it's not an '84 like the title says?  Does look like a CCP though.
Hmmm - learning from the past.  Nothing wrong with that  :thumleft:

Yes, and here's why. <!-- s:idea: -->:idea:<!-- s:idea: -->

1. The decals are clearly a 90s Genmar product. Looking closer it's probably closer to a 91 but anyone could replace 84 blue/grey/tan striping and add a silver Aqua decal (they didn't change to silver until 86)

2. Didn't make a 210 CCP in 84, just a 200, 222 & 250 but I guess someone might want one in between.

3. Assuming it has a coffin box, the thru hull drain is in the wrong spot.

4. Speaking of drains, look at the starboard stern. No infamous deck drain at the waterline.

5. The bow is "plumb" (marketing figure of speech). That stated, it is still straighter than the CCP. Hard to notice unless one has had both hulls side by side, say for about a year.

When you get a chance, lift your 230 cover up on one side just above the gunnel, step back and take a look.

It is either a 'tweener hybrid, like Lewis's boat....

Or  a last-gen 200 CCP with updated graphics.

A 210 CCP never existed.

IMHO however it is a CCP ring cap. Notice the sheer slightly aft of amidships.

Wish we had more pics, especially the transom deadrise and stern configuration etc.

Knee-jerk reaction its a 200 CCP with 210 decals...BWDIK?  Definitely a stumper.

Early 90's 210 Osprey.    Probably a 94 not a an 84.  As already mentioned the close to plumb bow, casting deck fish box drain and the stepped angle of the top of the cap.  The 200 CCP cap line was dead straight just like the cap on my 200XF was.

Here are some 200CCP pics:

And some 92 CCP pics and drawings:

I guess if we look at Fishead's '92 230 Osprey (disregard the cool pilot house he adapted to it) and look at the lines and decals
you can see the similarities.

1: 1993 200 Osprey; note decals, lack of Scott's "amidships shear".

2. I'm not sure we have pics of a 210 (other than the one at the thread beginning) but.

Go here and study (if you want, that is) the line drawings of the 200 (shown above) the 210 and 230.
http://www.classicaquasport.com/gallery ... hp?cat=575

You can see the amidships shear" on the 210 and 230 (same pics wing posted) but not on the 200 (you need to scroll through the pics).
Point is, I'm thinking just like wing in that the mystery is really just a "typo" in the title.

There is no question that the photo is a Genmar hull and it is not any model CCP made.

Just my opinion, having seen that cap a few times...

That is for certain an early 90s 210 which, with the addition of the extended swim platform, became the 225 Osprey we know today.  Just as Bob's 210 Explorer (WA) became the 225 Explorer, same hull.  Obviously, the molded in pulpit was added to the cap as well, which gives the 225 Osprey/Explorer an LOA of 24' 6" IIRC...

Corner of 520 and A1A...
