Pair of aluminum poles

Just bought a 1979 222 family fisherman.

Had two sets of aluminum poles that are several feet in length each with an elbow at one end and some sort of clear line.   I'm sure someone knows what they are and could tell me.

sounds like outriggers to me.  There should be a socket about amidships on top of the gunwale caps.
