Any Scalloping Reports?

Headed to Hernando Beach next week and was wondering how the scallop pickin' was this year in the area.   Have been the last two years and my sons always have a blast and load up.  Will only be there a couple of days this year, but will gladly share a beer or two with the locals if time permits.  Also does anyone clean scallops in Hernando?

Can't really speak for Hernando Beach, but it is pretty good up here in Crystal River.  I've seen better....but I've also seen a lot worse.  They are still pretty small.  Hopefully the bigger ones will move in after the crowds die down.

If Hernando Beach is like Crystal River, there will be folks near the ramps offering to clean them.  If you elect to clean them yourselves, I recommend using a small shop vac to suck the guts out.  Makes it go a bit quicker.
