T fal deep fryer
« on: May 28, 2014, 03:48:20 PM »
Been looking at getting a deep fryer for a while and with Summer time here its time to pull the trigger.
The Tfal brand is very popular with my Canadien fishing brothers just North of me.
Every thing comes apart for easy cleanup and the automatic drain, filter and storing of the oil in the lower tray is cool.
Just wondering if any one here has one ?

Yo bud,

I had one very similar. They do a good job, and hold the oil temp right at 365.

Big downside with the one I had....the heating element was external in the bottom of the tank. Then the basket went on top of that. So when you went to fry, you had to put in about a quart of oil to get even with the top of the element. Then at least another quart to cover the fish, etc. It was too damn expensive to operate, chunked it and went back to a jumbo Frydaddy style.
