Unfortunately I have not. I am prepping the boat for the water next week. Going to do some fishing out of Steinhatchee. Will be the first time this year. I have a new truck as well. So pulling the boat longer distances will be a non-issue. I will be able to go a lot further.
Prior I was pulling my 1987 170 with a V-6 Sport Trac. It pulled okay. Now I have new GMC 1500 4x4 SLT, 5.3 V8. I should not even know she is back there.
Since I have been gone I did accomplish a few things.
1) Bought a lot, cleared it and put a house on it. (and moved in)
2) New truck of course.
3) Joined the Coast Guard Auxiliary, and just passed my Vessel Examiner exams.
4) Started a custom rod building and repair business.
I think some fishing time is well deserved now.
