After I had a how to filet a king out class for the unknowing, I did grill some with the blackening spice I had made up and brought with us. Yes they are good but not great, nowhere as good as the snapper with the spice on it.

You're being kind Lew. I grew up on King Mac steaks. My Dad loved them. Like eating an oily rag but...

Great smoked and made into a dip.  :thumright:

In any case, I've been promised a King recipe, past down from generation to...., that will make your mouth water (good luck with that).

Great fun to catch, really only a 'hoo runs better...still.....I like yellowtail, mutton and mangos......

Looks like everyone had a great time and that's all that really matters.

Looks like everyone had a great time!  And super pics!  But I'm a little confused...was Seabob there?  I see a couple of posts from him, but I think that is Bryan and his wife....

And smoked kingfish dip is awesome.  I don't know how to make it, but I know I like it :bounce:

Would be great for Bob, Bob, Rick and Craig to attend :salut:  Little slice of heaven guys. Floridians are guests of honor, and you won't be the first. Not that hard to come....just do it.

Mark it on your calendars for next October

Looks like all had a great time and a fantastic catch :thumright:  Sorry I wasn't available to be there for this one, but we all know family sometimes trumps fun  Great sunsets and good fishing, a person can't ask for much more than that. :sunny:  Maybe next year the bite will be on as well.

You know, Lewis had a great spice for these!  I really thought they were pretty good.

Next time I get some I will Bruce! I found this thread on PFF about that subject. Very informative info.
