Gotcha

Will the pedestal seat mount above the storage area? Tube to port is for rigging?
Definitely custom  :thumleft:

Yup and yup.   Seat will be on port side.   Rigging tube will go under cap to the rear boxes. That one is 3", probably gonna do another 2" on the stbd side...

Wow Dirt, really top shelf work. You make it look so easy that some may accuse you of misleading the public! Great job so far!!!

I had to go back a page or I was getting a little miscabobulated Chris as to front and back of the boat only in the pics pertaining to the gas tank.
Work looks real hearty and clean as usual  :salut:

Owner has been hard at it during my trip...

Making this area flush behind console

Front deck. With high density inserts for seat pedestal and rear fishbox hinges

Looking forward

Looking aft. Will have bulkheads and deck just like the front. Small rear hatch to an open bilge, forward big hatch for nets/fish.

Pin board slots

Bilge. Will be accessed thru hatch in the top of back deck. and 3" drain! (Red fuel tank bonding wire was not my idea)

Is the white board in the slot an example of a "Pin Board"?  Is it a way to break up the load of fish?

Exactly.   Except they will be full height.  The big one in the back is actually the bulkhead going there...

How will the guy get from the front to the back of the boat, crawl over each of the pin boards or will there be a walkway down the center?  Sorry if these are dumb questions Chris. Seems like if you put covers across the pin boards it would look like a oil tanker  :D

Boat should be in NC fishing already but...

Transom needs to be faired and boat painted. Then all the rigging done and a trip across the scales for curiosity and then shell be ready!

Coated bilge and boxes with tileclad.

Topsides are gelcoated and webbed.

Need to take some more pics...

Nice transformation  :salut:
I webbed the 170 during the '97ish resto.  I liked it - nothing shiny.  I found that it was a magnet for mold later on though.
This is a working boat so it'll be washed/rinsed regularly, mine sat with a cover on it and for some reason black mold proliferated under that cover.
