BTW, do we know the builder and his reputation?

Yeah, just whom are we speaking of here?  Eugene?  Tommy?  Force 9?  Dorado?  Gause Built?  Inquiring minds want to know...

Bob, I bet you will have it figured out by morning, yeah?

My money is on Sea Force IX.  The fighting chair, the Palm Beach controls...they're used to that kind of stuff...

SF IX did do this 69 FB rebuild.

It appears the owner (72 FB on CL) has restored several classics.

And might still have some molds for sale for you "larger hull" types.

Good luck. :thumleft:

There's also the possibility that the guys at Calcutta did the resto, as well as Snead Island Boatworks...but my money is still on Force IX.  They build some wickedly awesome boats...

Bruce, Marc, the boat was gorgeous and beautifully executed.  Pannish single lever (Palm Beach style) controls, probably a Pompanette fighting chair (yeah, that's right, fighting chair!), twin Raymarine touchscreens at the lower helm...real sweet boat.  And like I said, a comparable Gause would be at least twice the price...

Carl, didn't realize the electronics module at the lower helm was fold-down, ALA Grady-White and some others.  I'm not a big fan of those, as most use Lenco actuators and the motors inside them are prone to failure.  I did not too long ago a 33 Palmetto that used a Bennett hatch ram and Bennett pump...that was a nice set-up, and none of that Lenco grinding...

Sorry Fernando...
