Five stringers wide 22 flat back?
Looks like she was redone once before

Mine had 5 stringers as well.  It is original, but not all of them had 5 stringers apparently.

mine also had 5 stringers, all you need is 2. the middle one is just a waist of space.

Agreed on the keel "stringer", Aaron.  A heavy laminate (3/4"+ solid glass) takes care of the keel strength...

So that brings me to another question.  Without putting a frame up to hold the boat straight, am I ok cutting out a section of the center stringer to make room for a custom fuel tank without foaming and capping the stringers I emptied out first?

before you add any glass or foam, it would be a good idea to block the boat and get it nice and square/level. also get her nice and low to make the millions of climbs in and out that much easier.

I raised the height of my stringers about 4-1/2 inches which gave me plenty of room for a 62 gallon tank I got of the web. you dont need a custom tank to fit, just need to get a plan, measurements, and search for a deal on a tank at a fraction what a custom tank may be.. when I first started on the boat, I thought about leaving part of the middle stringer but quickly decided to cut it completely out to gain a ton of space below deck

Still alive after what seems to have been weeks of sanding and fairing and new foam and recapping old stringers.  I'm tired.  I have a question for you gents.  I need to mix up some build-up material to gloop onto the stringer tops like was originally there.  Whats the best mix for the price?

Are you trying to raise the stringers...or glue the deck back in?

A bit of both.  I am going to go with 1/2 marine ply glassed on both sides.
