Yup that is who I talked to. No wonder the girl who answered the phone was hesitant to put him on the phone!  He sounded very enthusiastic and motivated when I talked to him.

Those 2 traits will get you somewhere...as long as nobody puts the damper on them...know what I mean? :thumright:

Here's an excellent example of the H-S 22 Vector...

Has similar looks to the 205 Osprey...

I see my 25 there too.

found this video on how the new Hydra-Sports are built.  Boy they sound like they invented some new high tech way of building boats.  HMMMMM looks just like the stinger grid in my 245.......

My friend loves them.

Says there's just no comparison to his old Aqua which he truly loved.

Maybe we'll see the best of both.

funny, the pict on pg 5 by ice man is the same pict on pg 1, by curious, but different side badging...As a past top aquasport dealer, we are very excited about the new aquasports being built.especially if Richard Anderson is involved. My dealership, Hampton Marine Center, represented Aquasport from 1991-2005,and were devastated, when they stopped production. We were told recently by wellcraft head employees, they crushed all the old AS molds, as they needed to much work to bring them up to top class. Hydrasport molds are the best choice, without starting from scratch. As we understand it,ebbtide bought the Vector molds up to 28 ft...Waiting to hear more about this new venture!!

To be honest with you, other than fixing some mold marks and maybe doing a little tooling gel maintenance, I gotta call bullchit on that one (not on you, on the WC top weenie heads!).  But it does answer our long time questions as to where all the old molds are...

Are you guys considering becoming an AS dealer again?  You obviously have a great deal of long time passion about Aquasports, and though they might be wearing different clothes, part of what made the Aquasport name was the dealer network and support... :thumleft:  :thumleft:

yeah if they wanted to fix the molds or even use them to build a plug to make new ones it would be big deal for a experienced mold builder.  Wither that or they just spun that story to shut people up about them.  After all if they started building them (updated old hulls) again that would be some big competition for Wellcraft.

BTW, unless you have like a 2000 ton press, you ain't gonna crush a 250 Osprey/Explorer hull mold...

I agree with you Seabob, Those molds should have never been messed with. not only the Classics, but all of them. polishing and repairs could have been made if they gave a sh%t about the company.by 2010, or so, I would think the name  could have been bought  for less than the price of two boats. It would have cost wellcraft more than that to send the molds to Michigan.Hate to say but the company that bought wellcraft didn't even want them, and new less about Aquasport.

You probably have a bit more info than the rest of us in regards to Ebbtide putting out new AS models (H-S hulls, we'll get over it!).  Keep us informed!!  Don't be a stranger!

BTW, when you saw 225/245 Ospreys arrive at your dealership with really nice wiring under the helm?  Those were mine... :thumright:

Gotta tell ya, the wiring on the past Aquasports by far were better than then stuff we are getting from some current boats being put out now.The way Wire looks behind the dash and in the aft bilge are a major influence on the builder itself.Good job to you on your work!!(lots of those little white tie raps)...I heard yesterday there might be some sea horses involved in this AS-HS deal, which I didn't like to hear, but lets see how it goes..will stay involved, Fred

Realizing Fred, the Seahorse and the Vector hulls...totally different, you know that.  Honestly, the Seahorse is a throwback to the 70s/80s.  While there are still boats out there that are similarly styled (older Carravelles come to mind), they just look...dated...

Now one might say, well, what about a 19-6 or a 22-2?  Those models are from the 60s!  Well, classic is as classic does... :thumright:
