« on: November 14, 2013, 08:23:29 PM »
What's on your list of things you'd like to add or do to your boat? now or this winter?

my list:
-seconadary bilge (auto or float)
-GPS/Fish finder (the Garmin 740 looks like a great deal now)
-1/2 tower

Put down a tank coffin lid with some ACE Hardware SS a few months ago. Already brown around em!   :?

My boat needs nonskid, rubrail and then rigging. Have just about everything already, porta bracket is being rebuilt and color matched right now.    Oh and need a motor too  8)

Funny/weird you mentioned Ace.

Eighteen months back, when sourcing hardware....Ace had 316 screws, bolts etc. available special order.

They looked nice, went in perfect. Now...pretty damn sad. As you say, browning off  on the heads. Some of them are even starting to run stain, nine months after the install.

Trim/tilt motor.
I've already purchased a new one, just haven't installed yet.
Will be pulling the motor off and inspecting the transom.
Probably won't complete till the first of next year.

Agreed.  Even our lurking members will want to post on this one!

Next most urgent project is to replace the rotted rear bunk supports on the trailer now that my tongue has been replaced (cost $170 total for steel, shipping, and new coupler plus hardware.   A friend of a friend did the welding last night for the unbearable price of "a fishing trip"  :D

After that its lower unit overhaul and service.  due for regular clutch dog is slipping a bit in reverse.    followed shortly by the ever-dreaded "bottom paint removal" project.  :pukel:

Replace rubrail insert on the 245.  Maybe pick up a HDS touch chart plotter.   Add a second set of Roll Control scuba tank racks.  I also have the dreaded bottom paint removal in the future.  :puker:

Mine will be used all winter, but plans include to replace shift cable, move red/green bow light to t-top, new rod holders under starboard deck to match port side, touch up bottom paint on transom, and maybe new coffin cushions for 2014 so Admiral Betsy has a nice soft spot for her tushy.   :thumleft:

Bimini hardtop with side  enclosures
A head in the cuddy along with a fridge, stove, and a furnace
Full transom with  flotation bracket and  a 250 Yamaha 4 stroke
Split the hull down the keel and add a foot or so to the beam ..........

Oh well........
Ain't no harm in-dreaming is there
