Anti-corrosion spray

Anyboby have ideas on wether a Battery Terminal Protector spray(automotive) would help keep any corrosion from forming on electrical contacts under a console. Putting in a new switch panel(old one was not completely waterproof)and was thinking of spraying the exposed metal parts on the underside like where the wire ends female connectors don't completely cover the male tab on the switch..Was going to give it all a quick coat after plugging all the wires back up to the new one....I use this stuff on the battery connections now....just wondering if it would cause any undesireable problems on switches?

CorrosionX or Boeshield are good choices.

Thanks wingman. I have a couple of cans of CRC Battery Terminal spray that I was going to use..Spray is red and as it wears out it turns clear and you re-coat the terminals..So looks like some upside down time under the console for a few minutes..

I know the CRC battery spray your talking about. I use that stuff too. It is geared to neutralizing the acid to protect your battery terminals.

x2 on Corrosion X. I have sprayed it on all my terminals and bus bars. Been over a year now and they still look like new. Very happy with that product.

Does Ace carry Corrosion X? I dislike shopping at Worst.

Love the corrosion X
Use it on my fishing reels too
Most tackle stores seem to carry it

I'm headed over to Bass Pro on Monday morning after shift is over(if we get to sleep at all).
I'll see if they have it, if not there are a few tackle places around here I'll check..I know Grainger's website says they have it and there's one not to far away

For serious corrosion issues where lubrication is not needed, try Corrosion X HD.
The HD is a very tacky sticky substance that will not dribble off over time. It stays.
Perfect for terminals and the like.
I use regular Corrosion X for guns, reels, bearings and hand tools.

Thanks blue, I have some of the Quicksilver, didn't even think of that
and I always spray my motor down at the start and finish of each season with the stuff
I'll give the stuff a shot of it and see what happens
