Go with a Iphone in a Lifeproof case
I even have a Lifeproof life vest for mine that makes it float while on the boat
Can't tell u how many phones I've dropped in the live well
This was my first smart phone after many years of a Nextel two way
Now I could never go back, I have tides, weather, camera and email right at my finger tips
Welcome to the 21st century, don't fight it

There is a new 4G commando out, much faster and with a larger screen than the original model. ( I had the first one too and it was slow).

The 4G commando has tides already in it plus an built in barometer etc. Of course you can get tide apps, Navionics marine charts, jeppeson marine charts (mini chart plotters). A buddy of mine has been on my boat with a iphone in a life case with the float. Yeah its neat but its a huge bulky case.

I guess the first question we should be asking is what carrier do you have now?

Yes, I forgot to add. Life proof for sure.
We have on all of our iPhones and all of our iPads.
Well worth the price.

Have them show you how to add a greeting for your voice mail too while you're there

First things first! Some people need to set up a voicemail before you can add a greeting!

I have been using the Aquapac for 2 years now and they work well. It has little or no effect on picture quality when you take one with the cover on.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is a good choice. Amy has one and it is amazing. The screen is MASSIVE too which is good for old eyes! :-)

I have an HTC Incredible 4g LTE.  Great phone and has one of the best cameras of any smartphone.  Not my opinion but there is factual information to support that.  I have mine protected with the good ole Otter Box :thumright:

Thanks guys!

Just went by there, since Carolyn just upgraded hers, I'm not eligible on our biz plan until Oct. 21.

So gonna use her old phone 'till then. I did check out the smartphones....they are pretty fancy, they text and everything

They've had a line out the door for the last three days.

Samsung Galaxy S5 intro.

Ask a question...it gives the answer.

As a for instance...the sales rep asked the phone "Did the Carolina Panthers win yesterday?" And that's all he said.

Two seconds later, a female voice answers, and I quote:

"The Panthers CREAMED the New York Giants yesterday, thirty eight to nothing".

Wow.

She had a nice voice too, for a cyber-person
