Whos game for this...
« on: August 06, 2013, 01:16:11 AM »
Here we go...I have this novel idea..I was going to see if anyone here has more time than I do on their hands. I want to find someone here who loves projects and who just enjoys doing the work. I have a 222 inboard that needs a little bit of a makeover. Over all the boat is in great shape the deck needs to be redone along with the hatch covers and possibly the stringer foam.  I was looking for someone who would like a winter project starting mid Oct. There were a few other things I wanted to try on this boat as well.. I really really want to figure out how to raise the free board and possibly flair the bow a bit more I know that may carry well into summer but   . The materials will supplied by me and help on the weekends as well. In return you can use the boat on days that I don't I keep it in the water at the house here in point pleasant.. anyway you would have to be near the point pleasant nj area...Lets discuss.

Not that I'm near Pt Pleasant, but I would like to comment. What you are saying is that you would like someone to do what is in reality thousands of dollars of work for you in return for being able to use the boat...sometimes.  Is that correct?

LOL yup that is correct..However if someone has the time and the ability but not the means to do their own boat this is a perfect opportunity to have a boat to use next year. I just do not have the time to get into this one. Don't get me wrong, The boat is useable as is and I will continue to do so until I fall thru the deck. The other thing is there is someone that is not 100% sure of their ability and wants to just try a deck before they attack their own project. I know in my heart of hearts that this is something that one out of 5000 people would even contemplate but the worst anyone could say is nope. No one gets hurt by asking.

If you find someone to do that deal, let me know. They can rebuild my dock and sit on it when I'm not.

Well maybe he will come here.

Bob I was just up in your neck of the woods. Went to Weeki Wachee spring for the mermaid show with the grandkids.
