« on: July 31, 2013, 10:47:01 PM »
Scotty is in town, we will be joining the Tampa boys Saturday for scalloping at Homosassa :salut:

Tomorrow we'll chase pup tarpon here at the Tomoka Basin, and then up the Tomoka River.

Looking forward to a great weekend...pics to follow.

Bob, I believe Skoot was referring to the Tarpon outing in the Tomoka Basin

Mother Nature is treating us well.....

Saturday: West winds around 10 knots. Seas 1 foot. Bay and inland waters a light chop. Isolated thunderstorms in the morning.

We had a blast! Thanks very much for your hospitality. A great day on the Gulf. We finally got to meet our Florida bretheren doing what they do best; being generous, honest, making you feel that we are friends and get to share special moments in life. Thanks to all of you guy's; To Eugene for providing our accomodations, to Skoot and Steve for taking us out and then shucking scallops for three hours, to Bruce and Amy for leading us out to the grounds, to Nondo for putting us on his killer scallop spot and to Scott Dixon for swimming over and just shaking hands and making us feel welcome. Without being too philosophical, it's hard to imagine what the world would be like if we all got along like we do. There is something very special about our tribe and I am privileged to be a part of us. Scott is on the 7:05 out of Daytona tomorrow morning.

Thanks again guys for a really fun weekend!

Nando, haven't tried them yet, brought some home frozen. Looking forward to having the real deal, not the stuff we get around here.

Want to reiterate everything Farley said, and thank all of you for such a great weekend. We have a great club here guys :thumright: The gulf was postcard perfect, the place you took us was loaded up with them. Next time maybe I'll be able to see them. I'm thinking pretty seriously about lasik surgery...would be great to see without wearing glasses since the age of 6 :thumright:

I'll be posting up the pics as soon as I get out of the doghouse  Happens every time I go have "fun"....sure some of you have been there :?
