It's gel. Now just gotta sand and buff.

I'd guess about 20 mils.

Thanks I thought it would be a lot harder then it was but wasn't bad at all.

And as it was put to me on painting or doing gel. everyone thinks gel is more work but it's about the same Paint you do more work before and gel is more work after.

Looks good. What products did you use to get that deep shine?

Thanks, I have a buddy of mine who had a car detail business (has never messed with boats) and we used 3m Super duty rubbing compound then went over it with Aquabuff 2000 then he used a "flex DA Buffer" with Meguiar's M105 Polish then M205 and I have to still wax it. Its been a lot of work but I think it will hold its shine and last awhile just was every few months.

Flipped her back over and now ready to knock the inside out..... Back to fairing and sanding. I have noticed with this color in different light she looks teal but in direct sun light it has a nice blue. Anyone know why that could be? Is it the color or did I do something wrong?

Nope you're fine.....appears different in the sunlight's stronger UV wavelength. A semi-educated supposition

All good....beautiful job, very attractive color. And the white bottom is the cat's meow

She looks sweet. You are right the blue is dramatically different in different light. That's pretty cool.

Don't know how you blended the paint but......
Color is a product of light. Without it, you have no color so as stated above it is dependent on the light source. Your eye and brain perceive color so you can survive. As you age those perceptions dull. The blue to me looks the same in each of the photos (more or less) but no matter what color.....

It looks good. :thumright:

looks really awesome!

my osprey was the same way, in the shade or at night, she looked dark gray to almost black. in direct sunlight, she was a light gray-blue. my flatback will be painted the same color.

Yep,
Blues and greys have always been my faves.  :thumright:
Yellow while popular, is for cabs.

Just my opinion.

Been moving along the last few weeks with fairing. I think this is the most pain in the butt part of the whole project!!!! The corners and where the deck meets the sides sucked.

Got some gel down to pop out all the little areas that need fixing and not to bad just some little pin holes.
