it sure was nice..... Having to take the deck out a few times to grind was a lot better then doing it by hand. Happy it's starting to look like a boat again!!!!

Got the sides glassed to the deck am going to pull it and flip it to run some glass on the bottom and put the rigging tube on the bottom of the deck. Had to shim one side of the deck almost 3/4" to get it level. Still have to glass the tank in and going to paint the bilge area with an epoxy paint.

Had a busy weekend getting the deck ready to put back in for good.
Got all the bulkheads in and painted.

Also glassed and foamed in the fuel tank and painted as well.

Installed 3" Rigging tube

Got a mold from a buddy of mine for the transom had to change a few things on it so it's what I wanted. Still saved me a lot of time making one!!!

Got some glass on it and cored it. But still couldn't get the kitchen sink out for weight.

The crown in the transom cap looks good! Nice to have friends that can hook you up.

Made and glassed in a wall for where the Anchor will be.

Got the transom piece glassed to the boat still have to finish glassing the outside of it. Cut out where the hatches will go (ordering them from SSI custom plastics) What a pain it was to glass the inside!!!!

Great progress.  I see there is another AQ in the yard - a 200CCP.

Looking good.

What are you planning for drains through transom cap?

Yeah she's coming along well right now. Hope to have her in the water by mid July but not going to rush anything if it's not.

Yeah that 20ccp is a buddy's of mine we have been messing with a little. Been sitting for 5+ years. It's not getting a rebuild he doesn't have the money and I'm not sure if I can do another one..... The 222 Aquasport isn't anywhere near as bad as my 1965 Bertram 20 was!!!!

Drains are going to be plumbed under the deck and through the transom and most likely have a check value.

Just need to finish glassing the transom and just put knees under the cap along the sides hope to get it all done this week and flip it next week to gel bottom and sides. Went to home depot  and got some color samples so I can figure a color out.

First of all, congats on the mold for the sole. It came out awesome. :salut:

But I have a question, how do you plan on doing the hatches? It looks to me that you won't be able to have them flush with the sole because the gutters appear to be even with the top of the sole?

The main reason i am asking is because I like your method and and planning on doing it the same way. I was just just planning it out in my head and was stumped on what you are doing for that part.

Thanks!
Carl

Thanks it saved me a lot of time...... I plan on cutting the inside lip down about a half inch it will still have a lip there for water to flow to the back where little drains will be.
