Thanks for showing us what the insides of one of these 222's actually looks like with the deck removed! Hope your project is coming along nicely.
Is there a trick to posting your pictures in your posts full-size as you have done; I couldn't seem to figure out how to do that; pics I tried to add to my posts ended up being thumbnail sized.

Bud, if you're using our photo gallery there are two links that you can copy and paste - one is thumbnail, the one below that is the full size.
You can also add the text you have at the bottom of your post to the "signature" entry in your "user control panel". To get there click on the link to the right just below the teal bar above the topics.  This will add it to all your posts automatically.

Many thanks for your advice, Rick. I will try that. I'm new to the forum and learning as I go! What a great resource for us old-timers keeping these classics on the water; I'm glad I found it!

I see that you have been "attaching" your photos - that's probably why you get thumbnails.  Take a look at the topic posted at the top of each forum that explains how to use our gallery - same technique applies to any photo hosting site.

Good progress jmr.  I didn't see it mentioned, but did you check the foam in your stringers while you have everything apart?  Now is the time to replace it if it is soaking wet.

The stringers look good and I'm not going to redo them just raise them up so I can raise my deck. The weather has sucked and kept me from doing the transom... I have finally started it and progress is slowly moving on.

The first 2 layers to start closing in the transom.

I strongly recommend you take some core samples of the foam in those stringers. Very very rarely is the foam not soaked and the wet foam sitting there for years can contribute to the stringers delaminating from the floor. You're doing a nice job on this hull so it doesnt make a lot of sense to take a short cut on a very critical detail that relates to the hull's integrity in the long run. Cut the tops off of the stringers, clean them out, add additional glass to the connection point and repour modern day closed cell foam and re-glass the tops. It's worth the trouble...

Looking nice what are you going to use for coring the transom?
