Hey Bill,Here's a fishing report from the great northeast. Like our cohorts in the south have stated, we here in the great northeast have no idea what that blue back ground in your photo is. It has been overcast and raining for a month, plus the wind has been blowing from the south and the ocean is a whopping 52 degrees. Its like we're having April in July. It did stop raining long enough for the first mate and I to venture out Saturday in search of the elusive northern puffer (blowfish). We left the dock around 2 and anchored up. After a half hour none of the little buggers showed up so we moved to a new spot. At the next spot, I must dropped the anchor right on top of them cause they just hung out and waited their turn to be caught. Over the next 2 hours one after another came over the side until the port side fish box filled up and we started throwing them back. Can't say how many we caught but 56 made the ride home. Not as glamorous as fresh salmon but now we can have blowfish nuggets.....bacon wrapped blowfish...and there's baked blowfish....deep fried blowfish...blowfish scampi....and then broiled blowfish....and a blowfish sandwich...blowfish salad...
