Prayers for Tabman.
« on: June 26, 2013, 09:29:53 PM »
Just saw this on THT. Tabman (Tom) from Bennett Marine had a brain aneurysm 12 days ago and just woke today.

Our prayers are with you for a full recovery.

To everyone following this thread, I realize many know Tom and his participation on this Forum but for some of our newer members, a little background.

Tom McGow aka "Tabman" is a member of the Bennett Marine Group and also a long time member on this Forum. A former Aquasport owner, Tom joined this Forum in 2005 and over the years has supplied many of us with trim tab information. As you may know, he is a member on numerous other forums within the boating community and is highly regarded throughout the industry. As a card carrying CAS member, we felt that the entire family here would like to wish Tom and his family the best so we have sent an e-mail to Bennett Marine expressing, what I personally feel is this group's sentiments, concerning Tom and our hopes for a speedy and complete recovery.

I spoke with Bennett Marine and have been assured that our wishes for Tom will be delivered for him to see. He won't be "surfing" his sites for awhile so this seemed the best way to let him know we are all pulling for him. Bennett officials said that as information is made available to them, they will try and get it out to the various Forums where Tom resides. Since we e-mailed our feelings, they have a contact here at CAS and promised to send us updates. Whatever they send, I'll post to this thread and whatever your beliefs, please keep him in your thoughts.

Thank you.

E-mail to Bennett Marine:

To the family at Bennett Marine,

The cast and crew of Classic Aquasport .com would like to take this opportunity to wish Tom McGow, aka “Tabman”, a rapid and complete recovery from his recent illness.

Tom is one of the original Members that developed our Forum in early 2005 and we became deeply concerned when informed of his situation. Over the course of his tenure, he has provided this Forum with invaluable insight and hard information on anything dealing with trim tabs as well as boat design and handling. He truly represents the professionalism and customer relationships so many of us have come to know from Bennett Marine and he is considered by many throughout the boating community as your “Voice”. He has forged many working, as well as recreational ties within our community and his presence on this Forum is sorely missed.

Tom and his family remain in our daily thoughts and prayers and we wish them the very best in this time of need.

So from all the Members of our little family at Classic Aquasport .com to you Tom,

Good luck and God speed.
