Here is where I stand. Something is not going right electrically with my yamaha digital gauges and motor. I put in two new batteries and the digital gauge I have reads 6.2. Now the numbers shift on and off. I took the boat out last week and was getting low voltage readings 6.2 to 11.2 when running. I had older batteries on that trip. I still managed to start it and motor on home.
Now as for my gauges, they light up but the screen is blank. when I move the connections and wires, the data shows up. However, on the water, they turn on and off. If anybody has suggestions as to what to do and what it could be, please let me know. I have a yamaha 130. I'm thinking its the gauges, but it could also be the regulator.
