246 express fisherman
« on: June 23, 2013, 12:09:51 PM »
Hi All,I`ve been hanging around off and on for a few years now,but never posted.I need some input.I`ve got a 1981 246 ob xf with Yamaha 130`s.I was going to do a little gelcoating, and one thing led to another. It looks like its going to be a partial rebuild now.I have had a garim5208,and a furuno 585 mounted on brackets. It would be nice to flush mnt my electronics, but not enough room.I can go a little higher on dash.I am not an experienced glassman.Anyone got any suggestions on a form and materials?
I also have a ghc10 display to mnt fpr autopilot,2 Yamaha tachs and 2 hr meters.Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.Thank james

Some owners have made separate boxes that sit on top of the console to hold the electronics....works pretty good. You basically wind up with a taller console.
