I am thinking of adding a minnkotta "edge" trolling motor to my 1987 Aqua sport 200.  What shaft lenth do you all recommend the 48" or 52"?

As Rick said, 60 or 62 is the way to go with an Aquasport.  Also, the Edge is a freshwater motor - you need to go with the Riptide if you are going to put it in salt water.

If you can afford it, consider one of the models with a wireless remote, or, even better, the iPilot.  Being able to control the motor from anywhere on the boat is a great feature.

See ya on the water!
