It took a Angel
« on: March 16, 2013, 12:18:39 AM »
We held our annual N.W.Steelhead club auction last weekend

We have a playing card raffle for guns. Buy a card out of the deck of 52 you get one half of the card the other half goes in a hat.

Gods only knows how many cards I have bought in the last 10 years and never won chit.

Well this year I was in line to buy some cards for the raffle and behind me in line was a gal I know ...her name be Angel.

When it was my turn to choose a card I turned to Angel and asked her to pick out 4 cards for me, she picked out 5,6,7, and the 8 of hearts..

I'll be damned if she didn't pick out a winning card for me, 8 of hearts :D  :D

That is SWEET, that sounds like me and raffle tics, once in a while.  Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while, and with the help of an Angel

Hey I have one of those! Just in black. You will learn to love the magazine release on the slide!!! You also have the improved butt with the recoil absorbers. I had to add the mercury weight to mine for the 3.5 turkey loads I shoot. Dang that thing would kick the crap out of you before that!

Hey Bill,
You think you've got a seal problem?  This is Great Point, Nantucket, MA a few weeks ago.  One of the best sea duck shooting and muti-species fishing spots on the east coast.  Now, you can't even get near it....

Now, some would say that's a "target rich environment" for that Benelli.  Personally I kinda like the damn things, they are pretty cute.  They're just taking over, eating all the fish and they smell like, well, seal $hit.

Here's a good article on the whole thing:

Congrats Bill :salut:   I know how those raffle tickets go.  I just went to the CCA (Coastal Conservation Association) banquet here in Greenville.  Over 500 folks there and rooms full of boating, hunting, etc gear.  I got skunked with the raffle tickets

Maybe I will have your luck next year    Glad you won :!:
