Same problem here! I finally gave up and use the large one I got from my grandfather 30 years ago. I can't kill that one!

The ones I've had just didn't have the pressure that you sometimes need to clear a fitting.

I never had any luck with the small ones either. They work once or twice and thats about all I ever got out of one. I have a regular size one that I bought at Sears 20-25 years ago that I use. Had to buy a new hose for it a few years back, but it still works.

I hate grease guns...  all you can buy is China crap these days and they don't hold up.  I found changing out the tip with a good one seems to help... sometimes.

I guess I will be buying a full size gun. I found a place that sells Evinrude Triple Guard grease in 14oz. tubes.

I just bought a Lucas gun from the depot because my other took a crap, but I do have a small gun that I've had for a good 20 years that still works great.

have a mini-cheapie and it has worked great despite complete abuse for at least 8 years except for the fact that it gets air bubbles trapped up near the handle.  All I have to do is unscrew the hose from the body, pump twice until the grease starts to flow, reattach...and voila!   Makes me wonder if the other guys are experiencing similar "failures".
